The J-1 Summer Work and Travel Program in the United States provides paid working holiday opportunities for students to work during their summer vacation as well as travel and experience daily life in the U.S. We intend that your work & travel opportunities in the U.S. will contribute to your lifelong personal and professional growth.

You will also learn about U.S. culture and specifically the values in American business practices. The friendships formed will not only last a lifetime but also assist you in your career development upon returning home.

The jobs that will be available are almost always unskilled, and unqualified which include the following possibilities: Amusement Park Attendant, Banquet Server, Busser, Clerical, Cook, Dishwasher, Fast Food Server, Front Desk Clerk, Game/Ride attendant, Host/Hostess, Housekeeper, Laundry Attendant, Lifeguard, Park Services, Park Attendant, Porter, Recreation Instructor, Sales Clerk, Tour Guide, Waiter/Waitress.

We at JIPA and our partners are committed to locating companies, which have openings and are interested in hosting international students or young professionals, offering them employment during their summer break, the fulfilment of the required documents for a J-1 Visa, and relocation assistance after arrival in the United States.

JIPA, along with our partners, will find a secure placement for you and will obtain a written job offer in the shortest time possible. This option is the best way to find a job in the United States with little or no hassle and gives you all the time to focus on your studies.

Self-Placement: If you have secured a placement for the summer and need to have your documents processed, then this is the option for you. JIPA will handle your J-1 Visa process and provide you with the DS-2019 form. Our self-placement option also provides you with the health insurance needed to participate.
